We received this sandal via courier from our customer who followed our Facebook page.
He really hoped that we could restore his sandal back to its glory days. He mentioned to us that this sandal holds many memories when he was studying in varsity. When we got hold of his sandal, the outer sole has broken into two. Only one piece of steel that lies under the outer sole that holds the sandal in one piece.
We immediately replace the outer sole with a new sole. The metal buckle was already corroded with rusts. Using Brasso, we meticulously rubbed the buckle to remove the rusts.
The leather on the sandal has lose its color. Some parts are severely scratched. Thats needs to be restore back using Saphir Renovating creme.
Cleaning the sandal.. Using Avel leather soap, we cleaned back the leather before deciding on the next steps. After the sandal has dried up, we decided to strip back the color and dyed it back.
