Vans and award-winning rock band Metallica come together this June to honor the upcoming 30th anniversary of the band’s all-time best-selling Black Album with a limited-edition Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On. Inspired by the band’s never-ending pursuit of going faster, louder and “Off The Wall”, the Vans x Metallica footwear assortment features artwork inspired by Metallica and designed by iconic Metallica artist Pushead
The Vans x Metallica collection highlights the newly designed Metallica logo for a heavy metal rendition of Vans classics. A lightweight, lace-up, high top shoe, the Vans Metallica Sk8-Hi Reissue features heel cushioning for extra comfort, reinforced toecaps for durability, and padded collars for comfort.
Signature rubber waffle outsoles give this shoe a firmer grip.

The limited-edition capsule includes renditions of the Classic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi — both of which were created with the help of design artist and longtime Metallica collaborator Pushead. Known for Metallica’s “2 of One” video and St. Anger album cover, Pushead makes the sneakers well worth any fan’s wardrobe.
The Classic Slip-Ons showcase the band’s ‘Sad But True’ facing skulls on either side, along with a blue shatter graphic and silver Metallica branding on the tongue and heel. The Sk8-Hi sees the iconic skulls and shatter graphic placed across the quarter panels and the silver Metallica branding along the sidewall.
